City of Helsinki, Itäkeskuksen lukio Certificate of Tutor activity Elina Turunen has taken part on the tutoring class in Itäkeskuksen lukio in spring 2004, and acted as a tutor during the school year 2004-05. For participating, she has received one school course. The tutors were chosen in their duty based on an application. The tutoring course was 17 hours in total, during which the tutors learned basic knowledge of the goals and functions of the school, their own assignment and duties, and the readiness to support and assist new students in the issues about starting school. The tutors also gathered with the councellor to plan and evaluate their operations during the school year. Throughout the years the tutors have gained a remarkable role in creating a safe and pleasant atmosphere in our school. The tutors have established an active group of students that support the goals of the school well. In Helsinki, 22nd May 2006
